Rx7 compression
Hi all I am interested in a low mileage rx7 which was sitting for many years in storage before it was recommissioned again.. no engine built...just new fuel and associated. The front rotors are all above 7 and rear x 2 are above 7 and one is 4.1. Images attached.
the compression tester advised that this may be carbon build as the car was not used alot and it will clear up... has any one had similar issues .? Please advise

Since the car sat for a long time, its possible the low reading is a stuck seal. I'm not an expert on the remedies, but ive seen/heard tricks of pouring a bit of oil in the spark plug holes, spinning it over by hand and letting it soak a bit. You can search here and find quite a few posts about it, or maybe someone more knowledgeable will chime in.

welcome to the board.
could be a side seal. you can probably try Seafoam (or whatever equivalent product you guys have there, across the pond). find some way to introduce some of it into the rear rotor and let it soak in for a while. it may work or it may not.
at the end of the day. no one knows for sure if this is a minor or major issue, so the one question you'd need to answer for yourself is: are you in a position to take on a rebuild after you buy the car? if so, get it, if everything else about it appeals to you. if not, then just keep looking until you find something better.
