Rotor timing

I'm doing my first 12A rebuild and am uncertain about the positioning of the rotors when assembling the engine. Is there more than one way they will go? I carelessly did not pay attention when dis-assembling the engine.

You can't mess up rotor timing, the eccentric shaft lobes cause each rotor to point in opposite directions from one another. During assembly simply position first rotor at 12 o'clock or 1 o'clock doesn't matter then when assembling rear rotor point it in the opposite direction of front rotor.

the rotors r 180 degrees off from each other. the E-shaft will not allow anything else. assemble them, one pointing one way, the other will point the opposite direction. and yes, only one way. rear rotor stat gear in rotor faces down, front rotor gear faces up. oh, and they're numbered as front rotor is num one, rear num two. they go back in the same place.

welcome to the board.

also keep in mind that with the 12A , there are designated Front and Rear rotors - so you'll want to get those right while assembling the engine.
