rotor bearing question

I just had my bearings for my rotors pressed in and they are recessed a little past the center. I'm including pictures and would like to know if this will be an issue. Thanks in advance

Can you provide a measurement on how far from center they are? Otherwise there is no way to judge your question.

It is difficult to judge this by your picture. However every rotor bearing i have seen a has always been dead even on the mark. the tabs in your picture look high to me. In case you haven't put the engine together yet I have a few rotors in the garage I could look at tomorrow. something about you picture just bothers me. If you can wait I will get back to you. You might ask this questions to the guys at Akins rotary. they have been helpful to me in the past.

No issue. Just make sure that the bearing surface is still smooth around that area.

Alright thanks guys. What had happened was I needed the bearings replaced and so I took it to a shop with the rotor bearing tool. He pressed them in but they went a little to far. I took them back to him and he was able to get them flush and centered. Everything looks to be in order

Your last post caught my attention. I suggest you test fit the rotors to the rotor journal before assembling the engine. Ham handed press operators will get the bearing out of round, or not straight in place. this has happened to me.

Well luckily all was well withthe bearings, thy slid onto the journals just great.

unfortunately I was unable to complete my short block assembly this evening and had to rush off took right after dropping the intermediate iron onto the front rotor housing. I'm concerned that the liquid gasket I applied to the legs will have to be re done before I can continue forward. And right about this? Or would it be ok to just carry on where I left off?

Scrape it off and re-apply. this is no place to take a chance on a leak. The leak won't manifest until the engine is started. At that point the only cure is dis-assembly and reassemble. YUK!
