Recent rebuilt carb flooding after rain or whether change.

Hi guys, I'm a noob to the site but not rx7s. I do have a question about my modified Niki carb flooding after a rainstorm or weather change. Any thoughts?

first some questions:

just to be clear, you're saying it ONLY floods after it rains and weather changes?
what weather changes, when it gets hotter or colder?

how long has the carbie been on the car?
what mods were done to it?

Flooding carb

Thanks for replying ! The carb has been on for a year now and floods at start up after a rainy spell. Also any weather change seems to make it run rich. I do think it is running rich period.

Anyway, the mods are rats nest removal and all that goes with that. I asked the guy that rebuilt it what exactly he did but he really didn't speak English too good so I left it at that. I'm not unhappy with the job he did, because 99%of the time the car runs like a champ. Faster than before the rebuild. I'd like to say mechanical secondaries but I'm just not sure. The first time I drove it after the rebuild carb it flooder severely when I was driving up a huge hill. Had to let it sit for awhile. Now only floods slightly at temp/weather change. Secondaries usually have gas laying in them when it happens and car starts after removing fuse to fuel pump and crank on over several times.

do you have a FSM and/or any schematic of the carb? you will probably need them.

what pump are you running and how much fuel pressure?

you never answered if it's flooding when it's hotter or colder, so i'm assuming it's flooding now that it's getting hotter outside since you said it's been on the car for about a year. so another thing to check is if you're smelling a strong smell of car in and around the car before you even try to start it. also, try pulling the gas cap and see if you hear like a release of pressure.

where is the fuel in the sight windows?

It mainly acts up warm to cold weather change, can smell gas outside the car on occasion, will have to check sight window. I use foxed can for FSM.
