rebuild or swap?

Hey everyone, i have a 87 s4 and i think the oil control rings and coolant jackets are bad. do you think it would be worth a rebuild or just buy a motor and swap it in?

What makes you think both the oil control rings and coolant seals are bad? Both parts are replaceable during a rebuild, and most is reusable so long as coolant hasn't rusted anything.

Well at idel its smokes, looks more like coolant vapor and is sweet smelling so i could only assume that would be coolant seals. then as i rev it the smoke come out thick and greyish blue color and crearly smells like burnt oil. also when its at about 4000k rpms it has about 10-10 psi oil pressure. it also goes through about a cup of coolant every 50-100 miles.
