Radio Speaker cuts in and out

I think the connections are bad because while driving the sound will lower and cut in and out. The sound quality is also not the best but then again these speakers are 30 yrs old. I am just wondering if anyone has seen this or is it common with fcs

The stereos in these cars suck , even in my fd I had to replace all the speakers and head unit and now it sounds great!
Go to crutchfield.com and they can help you build a cheap new system with instructions.

Yeah check em out when you can , my system didn't work at all turns out the entire stereo was fried.
Get a new head unit and speakers and it will sound like a brand new car.

Replace with aftermarket. Rewire with good wires. Problem solved
