Radio cuts in and out? Help

Ok, so I picked up my FD with an aftermarket deck and everything works, but when I am listening to the radio, the radio will cut in and out and the signal isn't very strong. Is it the deck or does the car need a new antenna or what do you guys think it is? When I put a CD in the sound and everything is fine. Any way to do some troubleshooting?

Maybe the connection between the antenna and unit is bad.

Guy in the audio store told me the FD has two sets of antennas? One of the rear windshield and the other that comes up when you turn the car on? He said it's cutting in and out because usually you only have one antenna plugged in? Is that true? What to do to fix this?

my best guess is remove the whole antena line from the car to see if its damaged anywhere. my fc antena was like that so i ended up replaceing my stock power antena for some power after market antena from advanced auto parts .and when i installed that i could hear the radio again. BTW you might want to also check your grounds the ones on the antenas (thats if its a powered ) antena and on the back of your deck
