just fitted BOV - now cuts out out when I rev it - any ideas ?

hey guys I have just fitted a BOV and now when I rev the engine to say 5000rpm it wants to cut out unless I catch it when its droping off. otherwise I can start it and it will idle at 700rpm.
apart from that it sounds realy cool and very loud!

Has anyone else had this problem.

I have put it in place of the stock one and this one is not a re-circulating one so I am not sure if this is the reason why.

I did clean the BAC valve as the car was idling at around 1400rpms before.
But as for the IC its a chargecooler and was left in place!

try messing with that. and make sure there is no are leaking from anywhere around the BOV. i had the same problem. if the slightest bit of air gets out then it whont idle right or die.

also try driving it around and get it to about 5k rpm's and let off the gas and let it rev down. but dont let your foot tottaly off and see if it backfires alot.

yeah it backfires if I do that - what does that mean ?
But if I let totaly off, it goes whoosh and all is good I think ?
It will tick over now as well the revs still drop off to like 100rpm then it rises to 700rpm.
done the TID mod this morning too.
I might get round to putting this billet flywheel and twin plate paddle clutch on of these days too.

Sounds like you have a serious vacuum leak. Common place is where the TID meets the turbo.
