Quick turbo Question

S4 T2.
Stock.

So just the other day. I noticed my turbo spool being louder than usual at low rpms. I notice it to get loud when the boost guage is at 10 on the Vac.
And it gets louder and higher in pitch if i continue to increase the boost. I don't think I have boost creep, because my boost never goes past 5 psi.

What could have caused the spool to be louder? I'm kind of worried about it and now I nvr rev past 4k rpm.

You may have had a hose pop off, etc..., which would cause a boost leak, as well as increased noise. A large exhaust leak could also make the turbo sound louder.

Thank you. I'll look into it tomorrow morning. I hope I find a hose popped off somewhere if that's the case.

I think i may have found a culprit. I found a bursted pipe coming from the intake tubing that goes to the BAC. which might also explained having crappy idle lately. I'll go to the store real quick to get a new vacuum hose and see if it fixes the problem.
Thanks RotaryRocket88 for helping me. I'm not sure i would have known where to look for if you didnt say something.

Also, it's a good idea to zip tie the ends of that hose to prevent leakage.

Tada. I replaced the hose. And everything's back to normal.
RXSpeed16, Thanks for that suggestion. I'll go ahead and do that right now.
I love zip ties.

If it's the hose from the charge pipe (between turbo and intercooler), there should already be some OEM spring clamps on it.
