Questions about turbo setup
I'm about to get started with my 10th AE and have already upgraded a few things:
Changed almost all hoses\gaskets etc. basic stuff
Rtek 1.7
720 secondaries
RB downpipe, presilencer, y-pipe and mufflers.
Corksport TID
Im going to go with the FD fuel pump, maybe RP one, def not a walbro.
Everything else is stock, IC, blow off valve, FPR, etc.
I've sent my turbo to BNR but haven't decided what stage to go with? could my setup handle the Stage 2 or even 3 upgrade?
What else am i missing? Wide band O2, would you recommend an s-afc?
Hit me back!

i guess around 280-320 at the wheels, I don't want it slipping away when i press the pedal, but i definitely don't want a dragster thats no good in the corners. I guess i'm looking for overall reliabilty.

unrealistic with what i currently have?
The first question people ask, how much boost? what hp are you looking for?
Honestly for me, that's an afterthought. I guess it shouldn't be but I have no real hp goals, just nothing too high (over 350). I want overall reliablity without worrying about blowing my motor. Like I said I don't want it slipping out from under me.
I also plan to eventually upgrade the suspension (new shocks\struts. some good springs, etc.) and the brakes as well. This won't be a track car or anything, not even a daily. More for weekend fun, hills and valleys.

Well, at that power goal, the stage 1 will do the job. But I'd be more inclined to go with the stage 2 as it has a much more efficient compressor.
You are going to want a front mounted intercooler, no question. And you might need to go another size up on the injectors.
I'd say just plop in the FD fuel pump and see what happens. If it can't handle the flow, sell it and get the Walbro.
As for a wideband, I recommend the AEM UEGO. I have used this many times with success.

Good stuff to know, thanks Aaron
I am going ahead with the stage 2, i figured it would be more efficient and i liked that it has the 360 thrust bearing. I was thinking about the injector sizing as well, but had hoped to not have to go front-mount. They do look sexy though
Thanks again!

The BNR stage 2 is the way I'll eventually be going, and the setup plan I have in my head is:
720cc primaries, 850cc secondaries
Supra fuel pump
Rtek 2.1
Water injection w/ the stock TMIC
I would not use an SAFC to tune for a hybrid turbo, since you'll have no control over timing. With an Rtek stage 2 or a standalone, you can use MAP based timing and fine tune it. Stock timing is LOAD based and not well suited to high boost at high RPM. If your state lets you get away with it, a front mount is a better way to go. But in my case, CA is ridiculous when it comes to vehicle modifications.
Here's a dyno thread for a car running a BNR stage 2 and using an Rtek 2.1 to tune: https://www.rx7club.com/time-slips-dyno-128/bnr-stg-2-323-hp-884507/.

Here's a data point for you. The dyno sheet is for my S5 Turbo with a BNR Stage 1, 750cc secondaries, SupraTT fuel pump, Bonez intake, RB REV-II turbo-back exhaust and S-AFCII tuning.
Tried the Rtek 1.7 but the tuner could not come up with a save AFR. Went way too lean so he had to shut it down. Went back to a stock ECU and used the S-AFC to tune it.
