Question about the ECU connections...
Hello, I've got one of those factory "Blitz" access ecu's(N370), does the chassis harness, the one that comes through the driver side of the firewall and has the fuse boxes(inside and outside), plug into the ecu also and if so can will an 86-88 chassis harness work? It's the only chassis harness I've been able to find so far, I am aware of the ecu needing to match the engine harness years ranges, so I guess what I'm asking is, is it the same for the chassis harness also. Mine was cut up in different spots behind the dash and through the firewall was completely cut off, no underhood fuse box or nothing, before I acquired the car. Also are the ignition coil connectors, Sarter B+ and Alternator B+ also in the chassis harness? Sorry still new to the rotary scene. Thanks
If you want to save yourself the least amount of headache, try to keep the engine and harnesses all the same series, i.e. all 86-88, or 89-91. The ECU and chassis harnesses are separate, but I'm not sure how much crossover there is. There are a few old threads on here about mixing and matching, but it's generally best practice to keep it all the same. If its the main stuff like the fusebox and ignition switch, that should be the same for both sets iirc, but you'll want to check out the wiring diagrams. You can find the wiring diagrams as well as the factory service manuals for download at Foxed.ca. These will probably help you the most, and if you have questions, you can post some pictures. Pictures are worth quite a bit when we're trying to help from across the internet.
I am curious about what you mean by a "Blitz" N370. The N370 is the 89-91 Turbo II Ecu. Could you take some pictures of that please? If it's as you say, and a modded ECU, I'd like to document it and save the rom for the forum. Maybe its a mod that a DIYer might want to try. I have an old Blitz blow off valve, and I know they made other stuff. Would be cool to preserve how the mod was done.

I'll upload some pictures of it when I get a chance, and yes it's for an 89-91. I did notice when I was researching the ecu that almost all of the ones I found for any jdm car, that were the Blitz ones, they had them for skylines, supras etc., all had the same "PC-xx..." number on them which I understand to be the "tune" it had. It says PC-23710T. The serial number is supposed to be for the make/model of car.
Think there was a recent thread where someone got a s5 ecu to work in a s4 car with s4 wiring.
I’ve done it by installing a s5 chassis harness into a s4 car with s5 ecu/s5 ecu/s5 engine electronics, when parts were plentiful & cheap.
Is interesting to hear a blitz ecu is a n370, not a jdm n374.
