MI Put 13B TT in 85 1st Gen?

Hi all, Im new to the forum, I got an 85 RX-7 1st gen w/ a 12a and I want to put a 13B turbo motor in it. I want to only do a single turbo but will do a twin turbo for the right price. Will the 13b engine and tranny fit in the 1st gen chassis? What all do I need to make sure I have for the swap? Thanks for the input.

It is far more straightforward to install a single turbo then a twin turbo 13B. Controlling the twin turbos is a bit of a hassle.

Most 13Bs bolt right in if you swap the front cover with one from a GSL-SE, use the GSL-SE engine crossmember and GSL-SE oil pan. That's the easy part. Then you need to wire and plumb it. I suggest you take a look at the 1st gen FAQ which contains quite a bit of information on swapping the turbo 13B into a 1st gen.
