Pulsation Dampener

Ok i have a question on the fuel Pulsation Dampner for a 88 s4 6 port.

Is it normal for the screw in the middle to go in and out as the car reves up?


I notice the other day that when i revved the motor it would move outwards then back in.
Theres no gas coming out. its been replaced when the previce owner had the motor rebuilt. I have the paper work with everything that was done.

Yes, the screw moves with the diaphram.
