FL power steering problems?!?!?

Hey guys, i searched for like an hour and couldn't find anything like this. A couple monthes ago i noticed when i turned somtimes i would hear this weird sound, kinda like a moaning/screeching sound. While then my slave cylinder went bad so i haven't drove it pretty much since then. I started it up the other day just to run it since i still can't afford a new slave and just out of curiosity i turned the wheel and the screeching was reeeaaaalllllllly loud and when i looked at the wheels they were schaking like crazy as i turned. I thought the belt was loose so i checked it and it was like border line so i tightened a little and the screeching went down some but it still moans and the tires shake when i turn, any ideas? Thanks!

Thumbs up power steering

It sounds like your cylinder is toast, mine just went on my car so I decided to depower the rack it's not to difficult and it'll save you money, it'll cost absalutley nothing plus youll lose an extra 50 pounds of wieght if you yank the pump and if your cars got ac and it doesn't work yank it too, also take off the ac rad it'll alow the engine rad to breathe more, if you are interested get a manual (if you don't have one) and follow the steps to take the rack off, then once it's off follow the steps on this website to remove the cylinder http://flyinmiata.com/tech/depower.php?x=1 , the only difference is you have to rotate the end lock counter clockwise to remove the shaft locking ring (there's to groove's in each side) anyway's thats another alternitive if your up for it, other wise youll have to replace your rack or cylinder if you want power steering, good luck and if you have more question's ask away
