Potentially buying an 83 rx7

Hey all, I am looking at purchasing an 83 rx7. Per the add it has a s1 motor in an s2 body that is not fully installed and will need parts to complete if it even still runs. The body and interior looks to be in real good condition so regardless of the motor I am very interested in purchase. Does the S1 motor need any modifications for fit into an S2 body? Anyone know about the price to get one rebuilt? Finally anyone got advice on what to look for?

The s1 is from a 1979/1980. It has a couple extra (small) ports on the exhaust to help aid the thermal reactor (exhaust manifold). The raw keg will work without issue if keeping the s2 wiring harness and rats nest. I'm not sure if it's best to run a header or if the s2 manifold will work without issue. You definitely don't want to run the thermal reactor if you don't need to.
