Ive probably spent three-four hours looking for a post to show the differences between the 13B & 13BT Zenki,13BT Kouki & 13B-REW. Im trying to learn on the differences so I know what would work best when I go to build the engine for my car. Right now the car I bought came with a 13B na (1987 Coupe) I don't know if I should try and build this engine or go with something different. Im going to be using the vehicle for Drift and SCCA events Ive seen most all of aaron cakes posts unless im missing something so if you could post up a link to a comparison chart of some sort that would be much appreciated.
Thanks

13b is an N/a
13bt Zenki is an 86-88 turbo engine
13bt Kouki is an 89-91 Turbo engine.
13b REW is an FD series engine(93-up)
You are looking for more power, and easily, right?
I suggest going with the 86-88 Turbo engine swap into your N/A chassied car...easily done without a lot of money spent.

There are some reputable Vendors on Forum( Like Japan2LA ) that sell JDM engines,
also Guys on forum that rebuild your old "broke ***" engine.
IF you decide to buy Off of places such as Kijiji,Craig's List ,or even Ebay, then you are taking your chances.
Alot of websites that say they sell "compression tested" engines, will not Ultimately Guarantee that the engine is going to run..(like a 30 day start up Guarantee.) ..it is pretty well a Crap shoot. If there is something wrong they may not even Consider a Refund or a replacement. The install may have to be done by "professionals" to have their warranty honored..
My suggestion is to Stick to the Forum..Find a Seller that is reputable,or Known to sell GOOD working parts(engines and such) and go with that.
Being On forum means they Know their wares, and would Back up their Sale with some kind of workable "guarantee"..after all, they wouldn't want to damage their reputation on forum by selling inferior parts and products..it would be like shooting themselves in the foot!
That is my $.02 though. Good luck.
