OMP and Housing Compatibility?
I currently bought a t2 that has been rebuilt. The owner told me that the engine has been rebuilt but the compression numbers dropped the past month. So im done. This is my 4th fc with low compression so if you want to do something right you gotta do it your self.
Building a motor with NEW rotors, housings, eshafts etc is my only option to get that high compression.
After doing a bit of research i decided to go with s5t2 rotors/irons/eshaft and fd housings. the fd housings have a larger intake port, thicker coolant jackets, and a less abrasive layer of material inside.
I decided to use the s4 omp. Will the mech OMP bolt up to the s5 front housing or would i have to use a s4t2 front housing? Also since im using fd rotor housings which oil pan, lim, and exhaust gasket do i have to use? 13b? 13brew?
Thanks!

The housings are the sections that house the rotors. You're talking about using FD irons/endplates, which are what contain the intake ports. The MOP/OMP doesn't attach to either of these; it bolts to the front cover. If you want an S4 MOP, you have to use an S4 front cover. Now whether or not an S4 front cover will work on an FD front iron...I'm not sure it will. Maybe someone else can comment on it for sure. I think it might, but FDs use a different water pump setup.
If using FD irons, an FD intake manifold would need to be used. The ports are much higher up on a 13B-REW.

The S4 front cover will bolt to the REW front plate. The water pump is the tricky part. An FC water pump housing interferes with the stock fuel rail on the FD LIM (which must be used with the FD irons). You can swap to the FD water pump housing, but that requires an FD alternator, or figuring out how to make an FC alt fit. Then you have to make sure your pulleys match up (all FC v-belt style, or all FD serpentine belt style). Note that the stock FD ECU won't work with this setup, so hopefully you've got a standalone.
