I just installed 3 auto meter gauges on my 95 fd. One of them is the oil pressure gauge. I don't understand but when i started the car to test the gauges all of them worked. Oil press. was around 60-65. Turned off the engine. when I started again, the oil press got stuck at 25 and then it went to 75 and it stayed there even when I turned off. Waited for a bit , and this time i had no reading on the Auto meter gauge.

I checked the wires and all of them are connected the way they should. Is there anyone with a similar story and a possible solution?

 

Sounds like a defective gauge or sender. Disconnect the sender and see if the gauge still doesn't work.
