Oil pan!
If you're taking it off just to fix a minor oil leak... don't bother. The housings are aluminum, the pan is cheap steel and the irons are real steel... expansion and contraction makes them leak as soon as you get them to stop.
If it's a major leak (such as high g-force pouring oil out), then it really depends on the car.

Um, no. A properly sealed oil pan won't leak.
Make sure the flange is flat and not dimpled where the bolts are.
Make sure both mating surfaces are totally clean.
Use some large flat washers on each bolt.
A skim coat of RTV (Permatex Grey, The Right Stuff, etc.) on each side of a new gasket.
Install pan with bolts finger tight, then after about half an hour tighten to 10 ft-lbs in a criss-cross pattern.
Done and done.

3rd gen, great advice thanx but still nothing regardin the post! Gonna nitrale gasket it with permatex top n bottom of it for extra effectivness! Cheers for the washer tip, like that. plz tho, is there any other ways of takin sump off other than engine out or subframe off???
