CO Oil metering

Whats the easiest way to disable the oil metering pump on a 93 FD if you intended to run premix only?

First thing is a standalone ECU. If you remove the OMP on a stock or even re-flashed ECU it will go into limp mode.

If you have a standalone then:
*Unplug the harness at the connector behind the alternatore, remove it back to the OMP itself. It runs down and under the main pulley and trgger wheel.
*Remove the OMP and install a block-off plate.
*Remove the lines and injectors which are under the rat's nest and fuel line and install plugs in place of the injectors.
Piece of cake...not.

thats great info thank you! i had heard rumor that it was a gear driven pump and you could just remove the physical gear from the pump then reinstall it. Have you heard of this method?

Either way not a problem.... No emission / rat nest and electromotive standalone

I've not heard of that method but haven't looked into it for a long time. In your case I would think it's just as easy to remove it completely (properly) with a block-off plate and plugs as it would be to do what you suggest....even if it's possible.

And the FD OMP is a stepper motor and sensor (load and rpm). Not really gear driven.
