oil meter linkage

Hello, name is Jim. I just took the intake manifold off to replace all the vacuum lines. Now I cant seem to get the oil meter linkage back to its original position. It will not the throttle roll back to idle, instead it is obstructed by part of the manifold. Anyone got a pic of how it should look?!?

You might just have the linkage twisted, check your oil metering pump and see if its hitting the front plate. Try to twist the linkage and see if it mates with the throttle directly.

Jim, it looks to me that the linkage is upside down. IIRC it should have a small hole where you can put a paper clip to insert onto the hole, thus holding the linkage onto the throttle. Since you have already purchased a new linkage it will directly fit with ease. There should be no hard bending trying to clip the ends on.
