NC Noob starting with mods

I dont much about rotary engines. The little that I've read. I was thinking in getting a street ported motor, a full exhaust system, and a cold air intake. The car only has 65,000K miles. I couldn't find any cold intake for my 85 Rx7 13B GSL-SE. I see that the car has the mass air flow sensor.
- Can it be taken off and if so what kind of air ram can I use.?
-Any recommendation for brands of exhaust system??
- Any other things I can do other than the new motor exhaust and cold air intake??
-ECU??
- Performance chip??
- Intake manifold?? The car runs in EFI so I dont know if you can change the intake manifold of port it?
Thanks for your replies in advance.

No. "Ram air" is in most cases a marketing gimmick. Unless you are actually going to place a ram duct somewhere on the front of the car at a high pressure area and properly plumb it to the AFM, then it won't help you. Best bet is to put a cone filter on the AFM with an adapter, then build a nice cold air box that sucks air in front the radiator area. You must retain the AFM if you use the stock EFI system.

Racing Beat makes the best exhausts for RX-7s.

How much money do you have to spend, and what are your power goals?

Porting the intake is of limited benefit, and there aren't any aftermarket intake manifolds that can be used very easily.

Thanks, that answer some of my questions. I guess i can get a k&n cone filter to put in front on mass sensor.
Money is not an issue. I mean im not rich or anything but i can drop a few thousand dollars in the car. I dont want to race the car at track or anything. I just want to make it a bit FASTER. and make it sound pretty. I want to be able to have the option if I want to race the car in the street it be fast enough to spank some pistons out there.

i think there's a few that r running up to like 17 inch. the offset will determin how much of the tire sticks out past the fender. offsets of 0 to -20 i think is the norm. but fortunately for u having a gslse u'll have quite a bit of wheels to choose from.

If you want to stay NA, then there is a limited amount of stuff you can do while the car still remains something that can be called streetable. With an open exhaust, airbox with cone filter, 2nd gen ignition, a street port job and a well tuned standalone, about 180HP to the wheels is possible.

If you want to go turbo, either by turbocharging the existing engine or by swapping in the 2nd gen turbo engine, then you are starting at about 200HP and the amount of power you make is directly dictated by how much you want to spend.
