Are you saying that when you turn the key, the engine won't rotate at all? If that's the case it sounds like the key switch is becoming intermittent. There is also a starter cut relay which should be checked.

Yes, I'll turn the key and 3/4 times it won't crank at all, is there a way to check the key switch without taking apart the wheel?

Do you have to depress the clutch in the start process or not?

I mean does the car normally start w/the clutch depressed or not as it has to be one or the other?

And does this car have the factory alarm?

There are different causes that may be at play with regards to your start problem. There is a switch called the Interlock Switch located at the very top of the clutch pedal. It has two wires, one Black/Green and the other Black/Red. W/key to start the Black/Green wire must have voltage. So you need to put this on your check list. If the Black/Green wire does not have voltage w/key to start then you need to look at the Starter Cut Relay in the engine bay. located next to the Main Relay. It has but one plug (Main Relay has two plugs). The Starter Cut Relay should have voltage w/key to start on the Black/Blue wire w/key to start. If it doesn't then the ignition switch is the likely cause for this. On the other hand, if this wire does have voltage w/key to start then the voltage should be passed onto the Black/Green wire at the Interlock switch. If the voltage does not pass onto the B/G wire at the Interlock Switch then you need to check for voltage at the small Black/Green wire at the Starter Cut Relay. There are two of these B/G wires at the relay but you want to check the smaller gauge one and not the thicker one. The small gauge B/G wire must have voltage w/key to on. If it does not then check the 10 amp Antenna fuse. If this wire checks out okay then the Light Green wire at this relay which comes from the alarm is possibly faulty. Its role is to supply a ground to the relay so the car can start. If you jumper a wire between the Black/Blue wire and the thick Black/Green wire at this relay the car should turn over. You might want to try this first.
