Nikki rebuild gone bad?

Hey guys, just rebuilt the stripped nikki in my 85 gsl. after i put it in the car and got fuel up in the bowls, the secondaries are flooding....bad. any idea what could have gone wrong internally?? the float levels are perfect, halfway up the sight glass and everything that came out of the carb went back in...

Any insight is greatly appreciated as this is the only thing left to get this poor car back on the road after more than a year

Do not touch the floats. Its your new needles that are sticking no matter gow much you think there not. I took mine back out and took some 3m scuffing pads to smooth the edges and put them back in. No problem now. Just dont freak because we have all been through it and made the same mistake. (Its the piece connected to the float) also put a drop of light oil, i used 3in1 and rub it down before installing it. Hope this helps ya.
