Newbie question about oil change + odometer/tripmeter
Hello, I have a question about the tripmeter... so I have been using it to help determine when I should change the oil. However I only drive the car to school which is not far at all, the thing is I don't drive the car everyday but it seems then in about 2 weeks time my tripmeter would be reading ~5k so I change the oil. Is it faulty or am I just reading it in the wrong units or something? I was thinking of looking at the odometer instead to help me determine when to change the oil... I bought the car with 177k KM on it, it is now barely at 180K. I have changed the oil at LEAST 4 times in the time period.... what do you guys think I should use to record the kms for oil changes? thanks for your help and i apologize for my extremely newbie question..

You know that you can just write it down, right?
Oil change every 5Km or 3000 miles?(or less depending on location, owner, etc)
Get a small piece of Static vinyl and put a reminder in the corner of your windshield like the Guys at The oil change place do.
