New to rotary.help

Thanks for the add. I'm new to rotary engines. Alot different than a conventional motor. I recently purchased a rx8 2005 13b and 6 speed trsns. I can't get it to start. I've replaced, coils, wires, plugs, starter, mas, o2 sensor, took out cat and installed new mid turbo pipe. Had locksmith out and key is functioning correctly. What should I look for next? Rexryder are you still in Tucson?

welcome to the board.

first, let me clarify something. you're saying your car has been turbocharged?

can you describe exactly what happens after you turn the key? is the car attempting to start at all?

Thank you for the response. The car is not turbo charged. When I attempt to start the car it just cranks , all battery, I am getting spark at the coil. I'm really questioning ecu or not getting enough fuel.. this car has sat for at least one year. Also would like to add, as I was cranking, the ol lady said she saw blueish white smoke out of the exhaust. Of course she tells me this s day later.

well, continue going through the basics. verify whether or not you are getting fuel to the engine, and if not, then we can work on why. that said, it's an Rx-8, so ... you may also want to check the compression as well.

You need to compression test it first. You can put a squirt of MMO in each of the chambers through the spark plug holes and try to build compression. If the engine is toast, not even that will help.
