New and need help with oil pressure
My husband and I just bought a 1991 RX7 . I noticed that the oil pressure gauge has been in the middle of 30 and 60. I got the oil changed in it this morning and the gauge reading went up a lil more but is not at 60. Looking online I haven't been able to find out where the oil pressure should be. Does anyone know what the normal oil pressure is for this car?

As a good rule of thumb on all cars, oil pressure should be around 10 to 15 psi for every 1000 rpm.
so at idle, you should see between 10-15 psi, and as the RPMs go up, you should see it increase.
Normally on the FC, anything above 3000 RPM and you should see around 45-60 psi and typically below (and once the engine is warm) you should see around 15-30 psi.
If you are consistently low on oil pressure (only 45 psi above 3000 RPM, and low at idle) your probably have a stuck E-shaft thermovalve or the wrong choice of oil weight, or a crappy oil filter.
of course those numbers are based on the proper use of the correct weight of oil and a warm engine and a decent oil filter in unclogged condition.
