New motor or rebuilt existing

Current RX-7 has 41k and looking at a rebuild at some point. Looking to plan this out ahead of time.

Is it best to buy a new motor from mazda to have it built or rebuild existing (if housings are in good shape)

Curios what most people recommend and also how much does an existing motor sell for? (Use funds to put towards a new motor)

thank you
J

Is that a typo or is 41k for real?
If so, what would be the reason for planning a rebuild? You don't describe the engine, but any is good for many many more miles than 41k unless damaged in some extraordinary way.

At 41k miles, a rebuild should be nowhere near in your future. What year is your 7?

I guess I should have added some detail I was thinking of adding some power to it i.e. street port eventually.. I understand not needing one now right now. Car has compression in the upper 90s for a 1994.
My thought was when/if I look at a single turbo, what steps I would need to take along the way. Trying to do my research and plan when for when the time comes to start a build. I do like the car stock for now since there is always time to modify a car.

I would just a get a brand new engine. All new parts, oem built and the price is not bad all things considered.
