New clutch feels sluggish

Ok so my clutch in my car was slipping really bad so i went ahead and bought a exedy clutch for her i had it installed by a friend of mine watched over through the installation well I've had my car for maybe a week I've maybe put around 300 miles maybe a lil more on the clutch but my problem is that when i do have to accelerate onto the highway it feels super sluggish not as willing to rev as before which is weird i thought would be a bit better being that it is a better clutch i also had the flywheel machined anybody know why or has this ever happened to you?

Did you make sure the flywheel and pressure plate were free or any grease or oil? Maybe you have a oil leak and its dripping into the trans. I just installed an Exedy stage 1, and it feels amazing way better than before no slipping or loss of power grabs real nice.

id pull the little cover off the tranny and inspect the flywheel.

My guess is now that the clutch is not slipping there is more load on the engine. You may have a tuning issue or since you are new to the car it may not be a problem at all.
