Need serious help
I have an 88 Fc N/A and has been sitting for about 7 years at the original owners house and I got from him about a month ago I fired it up after cleaning the tank and replacing the fuel pump it started up and ran for about 20min and then just slowly died...i started it up again and it wouldn't keep going unless I kept my foot on the gas. I was confused. But I have never had a rotor be for so I left alone for awhile. Well yesterday I was back at it trying to get it going and I changed the fuel again then the filter and the starter cause it quit on me. Then I checked the plugs and they were toast so I just changes the plugs and a new set of wires...and still the same thing run, smoke like crazy and then slowly dies after 20min. As long as my foot is on the fuel it stays going and oil pressure is good ..i haven't got it to running temp yet but I thought I would ask to see what you all think I need to do I want to drive the BlackBird but I don't want to hurt it trying to get it back on the road ...help please..

After idling for 20 mins the engine should be plenty warmed up
Hows the coolant? If its low the thermosensor may not be getting a good reading, good chance the thermosensor already is no good, and the tps is probably way out've whack
Will it idle on its own at all when cold? Or do you have to help it the whole time?
