need Rx7 Towing help
All my efforts to get a decent car trailer have been fruitless. I have to go with a car dolly which means Im taking the drive shaft out. Do I need anything fancy? Anything unual as far as the set up? Im going with a socket set, jacks, and pry bar.

A couple of blocks so when your jack slips it doesn't squash you flat and maybe a few small wrench's for the drive shaft although the sockets should fit in there , a nice plastic bag to keep the poo out of the trans housing when under tow and some tape to wrap the plastic bag onto the housing with .

Here is my take:
If you have to Tow it less than 50 miles, keep the drive shaft on and the trans in neutral.Been there, done it,Transmissions(all 6 of them) working great still.
You can always tow dolly it Backwards too,if the nose doesn't scrape.
Removing drive shaft: gotta get at the rear diff flange and that involves taking off the Y pipe.Diff flange bolts are undone with 14mm wrenches..can use a socket also( I just prefer old tools)
If you can just push the drive shaft up enough and it will separate and the you can drop it.
DO NOT pull it out of the Trans but rather wire it up so that it will not Fall off the Car but Yet allow the Rear diff flange to move freely,
IF you pull the shaft from the transmission you will lose fluid.so if you opt that route Be prepared to "bag" the tail stock and wrap it nicely or you will leave a Trail from where you were to where you went!

Everything about getting this car was last minute. I wanted to do it thursday, today so I had enough time to find someone to tow it. But due to scheduling **** on the sellers end I rushed on Tuesday. I already had it loaded it up by the time you guys replied
I will have a build thread up soon.
