Need a little help with my fc I just got, won't start and wants to stall

Hey everyone,I Just bought an FC Rx7 which i got told has a blown apex seal. We managed to start the car finally after doing the unflooding trick by taking the spark plugs out and EGI fuse etc. But the car wont Idle properly. you have to keep your foot on the accelerator or the car will die. if you turn it off you cant start it again. Any Ideas what it could be? im thinking maybe injectors. the car doesnt sound like it has a blown apex seal/s its got a hole in the exhaust though. I uploaded a video of it for reference. We just got it started. And have to keep foot on the accelerator to keep it running

now, i'm not saying you had to take their word, but you could have done a compression test and/or pulled the exhaust and looked into the engine yourself.

i have a friend that chucked an apex seal many years ago and continued driving the car to work for almost two weeks while he tried to get some money for his rebuild. remarkably, the car started fine - i mean it took longer than normal, but he never had to resort to any "tricks" to get it to start. it idled rough, and could barely get out of it's own way, but ....

my point is just because you got it started doesn't mean it firing all six chambers. confirm that the engine is good or not before trying to move forward.

Thanks mate, I'll have to try borrow a compression tester off someone. Once we did get the car started, from about 2-3000rpm up it ran really smooth. Sounded healthy. But I'll still have to check the compression. If it is stuffed, i guess I'll just have to put my other motor in. Can bad fuel injectors, old fuel and contaminated oil cause it not to idle properly too? Just trying to elimated all possible causes in the mean time till I find a compression tester. Thanks for your reply
