Need Help, Issue is getting worse.... bogging
Hey guys, I've had my 87 TurboII for about 5 months now. it has had a bogging issue, however its beginning to reoccur more and more frequently. I just recently replaced the alternator (it had a faulty resistor or something like that), spark plugs, and sparkplug wires. It had solved the problem for a few days, but it began to happen again.
Here's what happens when i start the car: turn the key then starts normally, but it seems to bump a little here and there during idle. When im cruising or accelerating, it tends to bog pretty badly. No specific rpm range, it can happen at 2000rpm or 6000rpm doesnt matter. Ive also noticed that the rpm's arent always constant. When im idling and im all warmed up, it tends to idle high. Sometimes it idles at the proper level. Also, not sure if this is relevant, but sometimes when its idiling a bit high it'll bounce rpm about +/- 300 from the high idling point. When it idles high its not any specific number, just anywhere from 1000-2000rpm.
Info about car:
Not modified, all stock
66k miles
never rebuilt motor
Anything you guys can do to help would be greatly apprecitated. Thank you!

Checking the TPS and maybe adjusting would not hurt.
Also when was the last time that any of your fuel system was looked at..like Fuel filter and the sock in the tank?.(1987???)

hmm alright, I'll look up how to readjust the tps...
Fuel filter was claimed to be done a few years ago... maybe its time to do it again just in case. What do you mean by "the sock in the tank"? I'm not super familiar with car fuel systems. :/

the Fuel pump is in the tank, and has a sock to prevent debris from entering the pump.
Picture a limp tea bag on the bottom of the pump.
The pump then flows fuel to a main fuel filter before the engine(driver's side frame rail, almost under your left foot) and then to the fuel system on the engine.
