although I do not understand what you are talking about..(maybe the AST on your cooling system)..you should try posting in the European section of this forum as someone may be able to read your post in Swedish.
Best of luck.

I am going to Guess here since I am in Uncharted FD Territory (I own an FC) and say that what he is referring to is the AST( air separation tank) on the cooling system,
The old one is plastic and can break over time. They usually replace it with aluminum.

From newly posted pictures, it has an aluminum AST already. It sounds like the builder wants to put in a lower temperature thermostat. Mishimoto makes lower temperature thermostats for rotaries for use in racing applications. Necessary or not is debatable, but I don't have much experience with highly upgraded FD's. They are available from many suppliers, but Banzai-racing is a vendor here and sells them.

As for a sensor, replacing the FD thermoswitch with an FC Thermoswitch is common mod. It turns the fans on at a lower temperature. You can read more about it here ->https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-gen-arch...tch-fd-447606/

I agree with the thermostat statement above, sounds like it's stuck shut or not opening at a low enough temperature.
