FL Need Help finding a mechanic

Hi there! I am new to the RX7 site. I am female and need to find a reliable mechanic in my area to help me. I live in Milton, FL. I took the 88 mazda to a technical school thinking it would be something they would really be interested in working on and learning new things about foreign cars. Well, they replaced the starter and put spark plugs in which I think they did incorrectly even though there were instructions with them. Needless to say, the car still needs work. Can anyone give me any ideas on how to find a mechanic that won't take me for a ride and that will know how to work on a mazda? I live in a small area located outside of Pensacola Florida. Any help would greatly be appreciated!!!!

In the Regional sub-forum, there is a list of mechanics in Florida:

Good luck.

FL Best mech in country is in sarasota

Paige,

Don't know what part of state you're in, but the best rotary tuner in the country (IMHO) is in Sarasota, Fl. Mike Lowe has raced nationally and knows rotary engines inside out...

FL mechanic needed

Thanks for steering me to the list of mechanics in Florida that work on rotary engines. Unfortunately, there were none listed anywhere near me. I find that surprising because I live in Milton which is just outside of Pensacola. Anyway, still looking for someone if anybody has any ideas. Thanx

Try these guys:
Fighters Garage, 4040 N Palafox St, Pensacola, FL 32505-4420, 850-478-2696
http://www.fighters-garage.com/

Don't know anything about them other than they have a rotary association. Good luck!

Check with Dale Clark on this forum - pm him. He is in Pensacola and is uber rotary experienced. He'd be the guy I would take my car to.

Fighters Garage is no longer in business. PM Dale Clark on the forum. He is in Pensacola and is EXCEPTIONALLY knowledgeable regarding rotaries and a super nice guy as well.

You can generally find him in the 3rd Gen Section.
