CO Need help about engines

ok will i recently just bought a 88" Rx7 N/A and it won't pass emission , but i am close to passing if it drops down a little more. When i took my car to a shop to fix what ever is wrong with it they found one of the o2 sensor was dead and when they replace it the reading for HC and CO got worse and when they did a compression test they told me it was putting out 60psi when its suppose to put out minimal of 80psi.

Please help me how can i fix this problem?

Did you take it to a Rotary shop, or a shop that knows how to work on a Rotay, because compression tests are not a simple thing as a piston engine.

a good trick to pass emissions is to add O2 to the exhaust during the test or, to run 20%-30% denatured alcohol in the fuel.

If it truly has low compression, nothing short of a rebuild will fix it. You can try replacing your main cat, if it is old and in poor shape. Other than that, making sure your air pump is good and the split air pipe is connected properly would be useful.

does anyone know if your run e85 in a car that does not have the right stuff to run it will it damage the car?
