My second gen won't start
Hey so I need help figuring out what is going on with my car. I did all of the suggestions that were posted on the FAQ. I tried removing the EGI fuse and starting it and I also tried it with the fuse. Then I tried with my foot to the floor on the accelerator without pumping the pedal and turning it over but still nothing. After that failed attempt I pulled out the plugs and changed em out with new ones but still nothing.
So I am completely lost on what to do. The battery works lol and when I turn the key the belts move and the rotor is spinning but there seems to be no ignition taking place. The car does a whining sound like the engine is turning smoothly. Hopefully someone can help me!!!!

I also forgot to mention that it has been sitting for about a 2 weeks or so and before it was parked it was working perfect besides the exhaust leak that I was going to fix till now that my car won't start. I am just completely stumped on this one.

when I took out the plugs it looked like oil than fuel but I am not sure if that is normal cuz of the rotary design. I mean it feels like it wants to turn over especially after I changed the plugs cuz it feels stronger but I think it mite be the fuel. I think maybe water got in the tank cuz it was sitting for like 2 weeks and I do live in santa monica so it mite be that.

Fresh/clean plugs, blow the raw fuel out of the housings, then squirt some oil in the lower plug holes and turn engine over. The oil will help build better compression. Raw fuel washes down the housing walls, thereby reducing starting compression making it harder to start. Make sure you have fuel and good spark.

yea just keep cranking it with the fuses pulled and then put back and try to start it. i have my fuses hooked up with switches inside my car so i dont have to pop the hood. im pretty sure my fc floods slowly cuz of leeky injectors. they are 24 years old so i expect it lol. when i go to turn my car off i make sure its past operating temp. and i use my fuse switches and kill the car then turn off the key. and so far for four years my car starts up every time if i do that. just my 2 cents or is it sense lol
