Check your fuses with a multimeter. I think it's either the METER fuse or ROOM fuse that feeds the cluster.

i forgot to tell you its automatic and it wont shift,i think someone had their hands on the car before,i found a wire connected from the main engine relay to the trailing side coil/module ground, this wire is not in the diagram,it has homemade all over it.go to my pics to see what im talking about.

when the wire is connected i get a hesitation at shift point in all gears,my tach goes down after 4000 rpm and idles rough.any suggestions???

That is the leading coil, and the black bullet connector is a test connector. It can be tapped into for a tach signal. The other pics you have of a relay up front may be stock and modified, or it might be a relay someone added for something aftermarket. You'll have to look around and find what it connectors to. I'd say just remove that black wire in the meantime. I can't think of any good reason a tach signal should be running through a relay. It is 100% modified.

FYI, images from your album can be added by right clicking to get the URL from the properties menu. [IMG][/IMG] tags will let you display it like this:

Well, most owners (myself included) have no experience with the auto transmissions. I'd say start studying the wiring diagrams in the factory manual (see FAQ), and ask in the 2nd gen tech section. You need to figure out what that relay is for, and where each of the wires to it come from.
