Question is my clutch going out???

first off i have a 88 convertible and only on 2nd, 3rd and 5th gear it will just rev high and not engage until i let my foot off the gas a little then it will lock in, but that only works with 2nd and 3rd. as for 5th gear on the freeway it just revs high and keeps revving high when i try to go a little faster. I just want to get a second opinion on this so if you could tell me what you think that will be great. thank you

The longer you make it last, the more damage will be done to your flywheel. It's going to need to be resurfaced either way but if you overheat it with excessive slipping, it may begin to crack.

Any auto parts store will have a clutch. For an 88 'Vert, there's no reason to go with an upgraded unit.
