Metal shavings coming out of exhaust

Took my car our for a drive the other day, for some reason every time it hit boost pressure the motor would stall. The following day I took the car out again, this time the motor didn't stall when it came on boost but it wasn't getting upto boost of 10psi only half that of 5psi. When I parked it up in the garage I noticed tiny metal shavings coming out of my exhaust. Anyone know what could be causing this issue? car is completely standard.

Know that the exhaust energy of a rotary is a lot higher than the average piston engine. Way higher temperatures. Most aftermarket cats don’t last long. You want to stay with one that’s got a track record and proven...Bonez, SMG are two. Bonus is that if you still have the stock cat, they flow better but are still pretty efficient.

yeah it's still the stock cat, I'll swap it out for a new one and see how it goes. Thanks
