Maintanence or Rebuild?
Hi all, I'm new here and to rotary and would need some critical advice.
Just bought a 93 RX7 with some mods and I'm not too sure how's the health of the engine. So far everything seems fine and the previous owner telling me the car is running at 500hp (crank) at 1.2bar which I'm not too sure it is.
Engine Mods
13B REW
Greddy turbo kit (25G)
Greddy FMIC
Greddy twin oil coolers
Spirit R Apex seals
Microtech ECU
Stock everything else...
I'm looking to build a reliable engine running at 480hp @ 0.9bar. What should I do to achieve this goal with occasional track sessions and 1-2 time attacks a year? Budget about 10k?

Actually you're at a good point now.
Things you should still look at:
-stock rad is too small
-stock plastic AST
-any other stock plastic coolant related parts
-check condition of fuel pump wiring (should have been replaced with the Microtech was installed)
-wideband O2 installed?

Start with a compression test to judge health of the motor.
The more power you make, the closer to the edge of limits you run the motor, the less reliable it will be.
