Can anyone help with my problem. Have a 1990 RX7 GXL. The low coolant alarm keeps going off. Have plenty of coolant. how can i find out if it is the sensor or not. If i need a new sensor, where can i get one. Any help is greatly appreciated..

Thanks.

welcome to the board.

there's probably a test procedure in the FSM. you can download a copy from: Foxed.ca

as far as where to get a sensor, when mine went i got it from Mazdatrix, but i would imagine you could get it from any number of places (Atkins, dealers that sell online, etc.)

On my FD the low level sensor wire brushed of from the sensor. This set of the alarm. It goes off at 15 seconds and the ecu resets.

Those wires are exposed on the FD and easily damaged.

Don't know about the FC.

You can still drive the car by grounding that sensor wire to the chassis and the alarm will not go off.
