Looking for oppinions

I have an 86 sport that is getting really close to getting a new motor. I am doing a street port with gsl-se rotors and apex seals and turbo housings, this way when I go to do forced induction. I am so torn right now between going with a supercharger (if so, which one??) or a turbo. I know the basic differences between the two options, High end power and lag vs low end power and running out of breath at the top end. Any feedback would be appreciated.
thx

Your only reasonable choice is a turbocharger. But since there are no aftermarket kits for either, you will be fabricating the setup from scratch.

Well I think the supercharger would be awesome. However, for the amount of money you put into the supercharger to get 200hp, you can get 300+ out of a turbo set up.

Choice is yours, supercharging it would definitely make it unique and an awesome car to drive especially in the canyons. Turbo charging it however just makes more sense as there is such a huge after market for it and soooo much info and support.

However, if you got cheese to spend, I vote Supercharge it

if you're already building the engine with turbo housings, then from a bolt-on point of view, turbo would be the easiest route. using the stock T2 intake manifold and your choice of stock or aftermarket exhaust manifolds, you could build cut down on some of the custom work you may have otherwise had to perform.

in all fairness, without knowing anything else of your overall plans, your rotor choice probably lends itself easier to a supercharger project. they could prove to be a great asset or somewhat of a liability in a turbo project, again, this is dependant on your overall plans. however, i for one, am very interested in the project if you do go with a turbo.
