A little advice on an 84 RX 7
Hello all,
Scott here.
I have an 84 RX7 with a 12A. the car had sat so long that the fuel solidified in the lines and tank was gumed up as well, i removed the tank roded out the lines and did a top end carb rebuild. the car runs good not that i got it started. the question I have is that i am going to replace the carb ( my rebuild was JUST the top)
and since im dropping at least 500-600 what can ya'll offer as to suggestions for the replacement? stock? or performance>? the later is what i want but i am being reasonable and asking some help from those with gaind wisdom.
I look forward to hearing the tips,
Thanks,
Scott

The general answer to that question depends really on you. The thing about installing the after-market carburetors, is that it is almost never just "bolt on and adjust" Proof of that is the forums devoted to the specific brands and types (Take a look). If you need to drive that car on a regular basis and don't have a spare, my recommendation would be keep it stock.
