keep loosing clutch fluid

Keep loosing clutch fluid on my 87 GLX. The steel line is good, put a new flex hose on, the slave cyl looks dry. Wondering if the clutch master could be leaking inside the cowel (between the inside and outside of the firewall??? Any body hear of this happening before??

It's possible for the master cylinder to leak into the passenger compartment. Stick your head up underneath the dash and look for fluid around the firewall.

I got no visible fluid inside under the dash or under the hood. I can't see it leaking any where.

It has to be going somewhere. If there's nothing visible in the engine bay or by the pedals, you might have to remove the master cylinder to spot it.

Somtimes you cannot easily tell if it is leaking into the interior as well. That fluid easily gets soaked up by the sound deadending material pasted against the firewall. Sometimes you have to pull it back to discover that it is wet or discolored from the brake fluid.

AcidShock you were right. Pulled the clutch master out this morning and the foam inside there was soaked with fluid.

Glad you figured it out, had this happen to me before and it actually turned out to be the clutch master as well.
