just got my S5 turbo, it's running fine but I still got a problem

Hello, so I just got my FC turbo (S5), it's in original condition and the engnine seems to be running just fine.

the problem is not directly engine related, at least I don't think so.

I noticed, it happened 3 times so far, when I take a short left hand corner "energically", it just somehow died for a short second (actually pretty less than that). Meaning like the engine stopped somehow (fuel cut or something, I got no idea) and restarted.

the engine didn't actually stop but it felt like a fuel cut or ignition cut of some sort. The car was taking average bodyroll (stock suspension) and it never happened in a right hand corner, only left hands.

So now I'm here, and I'd like to solve this problem but I have NO idea on what it could be. I know the basics of rotary engine (I was looking for mine for 3 years, they're VERY rare where I live, probably less than 20 in the whole country, so I had plenty of time to "learn"), but this, I have no idea nor I've seen a similar problem on a forum or website.

anyway, if any of you guys have any clue on what this problem might come from, it'd be very appreciated.

here are a few pics of the car

(looks like it only has the RB catback)

Your fuel pump sock (filter on the bottom of the pump) is dirty. This is in the 2nd gen FAQ too.

"My engine cuts out when turning, but there is plenty of gas... whats wrong?
Fuel tank sock is dirty and needs to be cleaned or replaced, and or the baffles in the fuel tank are rusted away."

so basically, I plan on replacing the fuel filter and checking whatever's around it.

but at the worst, what kind of cost am I looking at ? could it go as far as replacing the fuel tank ? is it usually a repair or a replacement job ?

thanks !

There's the inline fuel filter under the hood as well as the sock under the pump. Never a bad idea to replace both.

When you pull the fuel pump assembly up, take a look for any rust in the tank. That'll give you an idea whether rusted out baffles is even a possibility. You'll also be able to spot any rust on the assembly itself too. Hopefully there isn't any. I changed my fuel pump recently, and was happy to find the tank 100% rust free and clean as hell.

As for the sock, I think most people just clean them out & replace. It may be hard to track down a replacement from anywhere else but a Mazda dealership.
