Jdm swap engine wiring question!!!

Hi all,
I recently bought a rolling shell Rx-7 and thought buying a JDM engine and
transmission was a good idea and still do kinda but i'm having trouble with the wiring harness. i got the plugs unwrapped from around the motor and into the car to the jdm ecu but it seems that one of the blue plugs doesn't match up with the one inside the car. oboviously the yellow plug from the main harness isnt going to plug into the ecu but I was wondering if it would be better if i just replaced the engine harness with a USDM one or if that would be at all possible or would it be easier to re-pin some of the connectors..and if so which ones will need to be re-pinned? if anyone has answers please help! I really wanna drive this thing soon! thanks!

Please state the series or year of your car and the series or year of the JDM engine.

Do not use the JDM wiring harness or ECU. That will only complicate things.

Use a harness associated with the same series as the engine. (S4 JDM engine: Use S4 USDM TII or N/A harness.) - That's right... You can use an N/A engine harness.

Also, keep in mind that the fuel feed and fuel return lines are switched between USDM and JDM engines.

Oh yeah sorry about that. The car is a 1993 and the engine is a 1996 i believe. the plugs are white and alot bigger thanthe yellow usdm ones.

The engine came with a harness and ecu. so what should I use instead on that engine? will a 93-95 usdm harness work for it?

I didnt know that the fuel lines were different.i just hooked them up the same way. thanks for telling me.

Ah, didn't realize you were talking about an FD. I'm not so familiar with the 13B-REW.

haha yeah me either apparently..I'm still learning alot about them. I've heard several different ways to do it but I'm not sure if people are just talking or if they really know for sure...I haven't heard anyone say "do this, it works" yet. I might just have to try them all to figure it out. but any info you have that would point me in some kind of direction would be greatly appreciated.

water temp guage working jdm swap

this link will help you out with what to do with your blue X-05 connector https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-specific-1993-2002-16/jdm-wiring-harness-spec-868289/

As for more information on the EXTRA brown/yellow wire you will have to re-pin it into the empty slot in the top right of the white X-14 connecter comming off the engine harness.

I just cant figure out the wiring so the water temp guage will work i know that the temp guage wire goes threw the X-14 connecter but im stumpped i need help
