installed new engine revs to 5k?

installed new engine revs to 5k?

Just put in new engine and it immediately revs up to 5k now i idk if its the plates that sticking.. vaccum leak.. or the hard idle screw.. now i know i did install a new intake manifold gasket.. from mazdatrix did i miss something when i installed it? Btw i have a jspec s5 t2

Check throttle cable tension and the throttle stop (although I'm not sure there's enough adjustment to get the engine to idle at 5k).

Thats basically the idle screw right? If it is i was gonna adjust it but the guys who helped me said its fine... and just a question when i got the gasket it was like blue and white.. is that the actually color or is that some sort of film protect?

Well today looked for vac leaks and adjusted the harness or moved it because the throttle linkage was hitting it and switch a solenoid that was pretty sticky and moved some vac lines which i thought were in the right spot (boost sensor and abv valve on the intake) so now the car doesnt start....

Well i have a jdm engine so where is a vacumm diagram for jdm engines

when I had massive vacuum leaks in my shake-down testing the car would barely run or stall below 1500 RPM.

My guess is you bypassed the throttle body with a vacuum line or two. This would still meter the air through the MAF, but bypass the IAC (BAC)/throttle body

Alright got it running!!! I actually missed the vac line right below the bac valve.... cant believe i missed that... idle surges but just needs a fine tune >:]and thnks thou guys!!
