Injector questions.

Hey all i recently baught a 91 turbo 2. The guy i baught it from (friend of mine) said the only thing it needs is injectors and it will run fine. I am completly new to the whole rotary scene and dont really know much about them, other then the few threads ive read on this forum so far. As far as upgrades on the car i believe the only upgrade is a 3in downpipe from what he told me.. Now what kind of injectors should i get im assuming stock OEM ones and they are 550cc? if im not mistaken. Also what should i expect while replacing them and what else should i buy? gaskets? I know nothing about these like i said. Thanks for taking the time to look.

A 3 inch downpipe is DEFINITELY NOT the only thing you can do to mod your FC. There are tons of things you can do to it if you have the money and knowledge. Your going to need Upper Intake Manifold gaskets because you have to take the UIM off to get to 2 of the injectors. There is no reason to spend 300 dollars on brand new stock ones, you can take the old ones out of your car and send them to Witchhunter or other good shops that can clean and flow test your injectors before and after. Replace vac lines and other hose if they are stock or brittle. Keep searching the forum and youll learn alot

Get a set of stock injectors (550CC high impedance) and see how the car runs. If it doesn't overboost past 8 PSI then you are fine with just the downpipe and no other mods. If you run past 8.6 PSI, you'll hit fuel cut and other mods will be required.

its got a 3in downpipe, intake and apex n1 exhaust, evrything else looks stock, other than the clutch. As far as the cooling system go i heard quite a few things about them... to make sure i wont overheat what should i do? new rad? new hoses? i saw something about changing where the thermostat goes? i just got out of the ol honda game and so far i like these better, but still no nothing about them. Also i was told to get rid of the MOP and mix it like 2 stroke?? good idea, bad idea?

Well one way for it not to overheat it to use an OEM thermostat. Seems that aftermarket ones make FCs overheat. It happened to my old GXL and I blew my coolant seals

Just go through the cooling system and clean it up, check for leaks, etc. I'd recommend replacing the hoses anyway, since they are probably all original.

Leave the metering oil pump in place.

Yeah you should definitely leave the OMP. It sends oil to the oil injectors which lube the internals of the engine without it you can easily damage your engine.
