You might want to try throttle position setter on the top of the block. it's under a little rubber cap, turn it to set the rpm at idle. Also you might want to check the vacuum lines for any leaks. if the MAF meter and the MAF sensor get conflicting amounts the ecu will turn the engine off.

I had an idling problem too, except my car would rev in between 2k and 1k back and forth sporadically. I did all the basic maintenance, and when I adjusted the TPS and changed the air filter it stopped.
Now it warms up fine but when it idles in traffic it does wobble a little low so im gonna change my fuel filter because its due for a change. heard they're difficult to do on your own because of the location Mazda put it in.

its your cooling system rx7s rely heavily on the cooling system more than any other component in the engine bay if your coolant lines have a hole or anything in it even tiny it will throw the rpms off heavily.

No...

Do you actually believe this, or are you just posting random crap in every thread?

cooling system causing idle problems? If you honestly think that then it's probably not a good idea for you to work on your own car-ever.

I have this same problem. It's likely a vac leak. When I have time this week, I'm going to replace all my vacuum hoses. Hopefully that will fix it.

+1 to Ultrataco

Same situation here. My car dies if I don't give it gas, but only when I have the A/C on. I haven't gotten to vac lines either, but I've done every damn thing besides it so I'm pretty sure thats what it is.

LoTim is correct, the cooling system on the FC directly affects the idle, specifically if there's any air trapped in the cooling system.

Serge
